OK it is way past Sakura season here in Japan but this mini collage was inspired by it. During the season our street was lined with cascading Cherry Blossom Trees. With all the hassles of our Japanese house and traveling back and forth to the base, I do look forward to the short time the trees are in bloom. Amazing does not say enough for how beautiful the trees are. About a month before they bloom our plum tree is full of flowers too, it is so pretty. So anyways, this collage was inspired by all of that beauty. I think the bright colors of the acrylic painted papers and washi paper really give it a fun feel.
